My work is often inspired by sculptural forms that I find in a variety of places, for instance, the elegant Arum Lily, Architecture and nature. Some of my designs have been influenced by hidden forms which only become visible under the lens of the microscope.
I am mostly interested in strong, clean lines and letting the form do the talking but also have completed some commissions involving unusually cut stones.
I have been designing and making jewellery since I graduated from The Kent Institute of Art and Design in 2001 during which time i was the fortunate recipient of two bursary awards and a second place in the Fine Jewellery section of the annual design competition run by The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths |
