In the deliberate deconstruction of the raw material previously manufactured, (thread and iron) of several materials, (copper, bronze, silver and gold), by using controlled fusion techniques, I look for the texture and shapes; irregular and rustic which are most interesting for me in doing my work. To carry out my work, I try to make it, if the design allows me using rudimentary methods and tools, leaving an important primitive appearance in the final piece.
(Introduction to Benes Artsans)
With the colouration, by using patina and oxidation techniques, I obtain natural results which are difficult or impossible to obtain by industrial process. The finished pieces give off a simplicity which is not a chance result, but is the result of this search of primitive appearance. Finally, I make all my piece one by one with a lot of affection, in order that the people who wear one of them, could feel it as hers as I feel it mine.
